Keyssa® Announces its Next-Generation Kiss Connector Designed for Faster Time-to-Market
Keyssa Also Announced as Winner of the Prestigious Edison Award
Campbell, Calif. – March 22, 2017 – Keyssa®, the leader in high-speed, contactless connectivity, today announced its next-generation component connector product, the KSS104, which features improved electrical and mechanical tolerances, reduced standby power, improved testability, and support for additional protocols. The KSS104 is available as both a semi-custom embeddable component or as part of a fully designed, plug-and-play module, both members of Keyssa’s Kiss Connector family. Additionally, the KSS104 features a platform that allows for future enhancements, including lower cost and smaller size.
Kiss Connectors are tiny, low-cost, low-power, solid-state, embeddable electromagnetic connectors that securely move huge files at high bandwidth between devices. With Kiss Connectivity, Keyssa is unleashing a new era that will change the way devices communicate and free engineers to design devices in entirely new ways.

The KSS104 includes the following benefits:

- – Greater than 10% increase in bandwidth (6 Gigabits per second)
- – Improved testability
- – Support for PCIe and high-speed video signals (in addition to previously supported protocols including USB SS, DisplayPort and SATA)

The KSS104 is designed for use as a general purpose high-speed connector both externally (device-to-device) and internally (board-to-board). The KSS104 is currently sampling and will be in mass production June of 2017.
