Senior or Principal Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities
The Senior/Principal Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for design and implementation of mechanical design solutions adapted to Keyssa’s revolutionary contactless connector technology. Specific responsibilities include:
- Design and characterize mechanical components and assemblies.
- Develop new mechanical architectures that are compatible with product design and tooling requirements.
- Interface with suppliers, internal teams and hardware manufacturers in the process of designing hardware platforms that meet defined manufacturing and quality standards.
- Use industry standard CAD tools to create mechanical designs suitable for high-volume production.
- Ensure that mechanical architectures meet cost, reliability, thermal, humidity and other design targets.
Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 10+ years of designing products in one or more of the following areas- automobile, industrial, consumer, medical etc. 5+ years in the area of consumer electronic devices, preferably in the mobile space.
- Expertise in precise dimensioning to meet tight geometric requirements and align these requirements with different manufacturing processes.
- Experience with Pro Engineer, NX (Unigraphics), Solidworks, ACAD.
- Experience working with ODMs, manufacturing houses, and suppliers.
