Senior or Principal Signal Integrity Engineer

Responsibilities
The Senior or Principal Signal Integrity Engineer will be responsible for signal integrity and power integrity analysis and implementation of systems encompassing boards, packages and cables including flex. Specific responsibilities include:
- Understand the SI/PI requirements of the system and optimize the design and its implementation to meet these requirements.
- Setup and follow through on validation and qualification of the implemented system by preparing a solid plan and executing on it.
- Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, System, IC designers to understand requirements of each of the system components.
- Execute and stand behind the qualification of the product, from a mass production perspective, in consumer electronic devices.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of performing signal integrity and power integrity analysis on systems that implement >3Gbps communication links on a per lane basis for wired and/or wireless systems.
- Extensive experience in substrate design with a deep understanding of the material properties at high frequencies (>3G). Package design expertise is a plus.
- Design and implementation of boards, flex, packages for applications that include one or more of the following high-speed protocols- USB3.0; PCIe 2/3; DisplayPort; HDMI; SATA/SAS.
- Proficient in one or more of the following modeling and simulation tools- HFSS, Q3D/Q2D, Allegro- Sigrity SI, XtractIM, Agilent ADS, etc.
- Extensive experience in handling lab equipment- TDR, VNA, Logic Analyzers, High-Speed Oscilloscopes, JBERT etc.
- Team player with interest in filing up gaps in product development, as needed.
- Master’s degree in EE/CS or equivalent.
